Fire Alarm Servicing
Prioritising Fire Safety and Compliance in Accordance with BS 5839
Commercial fire alarm systems need regular servicing to remain reliable and help meet the recommendations of BS 5839. Routine maintenance helps identify faults early, confirms the system is operating correctly, and reduces the risk of problems when it’s needed most.
We service commercial fire alarm systems across a wide range of properties, including offices, retail premises, schools, warehouses and industrial buildings. Our engineers have experience maintaining conventional, addressable and wireless fire alarm systems from many leading manufacturers, whether we installed the system or not.
Each visit includes the checks and testing needed to assess your system’s condition, with clear reporting and recommendations if any faults or repairs are identified.

Comprehensive Servicing and Maintenance
Our specialised maintenance services for commercial fire alarm systems are designed to ensure your safety, compliance, and peace of mind. We carefully inspect and test each component of your system to maintain its optimal functionality and reliability.
Control Panel Checks
We inspect the fire alarm control panel to confirm it is operating correctly, with system settings, event logs and fault indicators reviewed to identify any issues affecting performance.
Battery Inspection & Testing
Standby batteries are inspected and tested to confirm they remain in good condition and are capable of providing backup power should the mains electricity supply fail.
Device Functionality Tests
Smoke detectors, heat detectors, manual call points, sounders and visual alarm devices are tested to verify they respond correctly and provide effective warning throughout the building.
Signal Transmission Tests
Where the fire alarm system is connected to an alarm receiving centre (ARC), signal transmission is tested to confirm alarm signals are communicated correctly during an activation.
Fault & Circuit Testing
System circuits, wiring and fault indicators are examined to identify faults, damage or deterioration that could affect the operation of the fire alarm system.
Detailed Reporting
A detailed service report is provided following each visit, outlining the inspections completed, any faults identified and recommendations for repairs or further work where required.
