Fuse Fire & Security completed a major fire alarm system upgrade, replacing an ageing Ampac FireFinder addressable fire alarm panel with a modern Advanced MXPro 5 solution.
The new installation provides the client with a more intuitive fire alarm system that is easier to operate, manage and maintain.

Replacing an Ageing Fire Alarm System with a More User-Friendly Solution
The existing Ampac FireFinder 8-loop addressable fire alarm panel had served the site for many years but was becoming dated.
While the system remained operational, the client wanted to modernise their fire alarm infrastructure with a solution that offered a more user-friendly interface and improved day-to-day usability.
As part of the upgrade, the existing zone information also required reviewing to better reflect the building's current layout and documentation.

The Solution
Installing a Modern Advanced MXPro 5 Fire Alarm Panel
Fuse Fire & Security replaced the existing fire alarm control equipment with a new Advanced MXPro 5 8-loop addressable fire alarm panel, providing a modern platform designed for improved usability and long-term reliability.
The project included:
- Removal of the existing Ampac FireFinder 8-loop panel.
- Installation of a new Advanced MXPro 5 8-loop addressable fire alarm panel.
- Re-zoning of the system to reflect the building's current layout.
- Production of new marked-up as-fitted drawings.
- Updating the zone information and system documentation to improve future maintenance and operation.
The result is a modern, intuitive fire alarm system that is easier for staff to use while ensuring the site's fire detection infrastructure is accurately documented for ongoing management.
